Throughlines: A resource for research and teaching

by Candace Barrington

If you’re like me, the end of the term is a tug-of-war between tossing everything into a dark corner and starting to prepare for the next semester. If thinking about the spring 2026 iteration of your courses is starting to win, here’s a great resource from our colleagues at Arizona Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies: Throughlines, an online resource for bringing conversations about race into your classes, especially those dealing with premodern topics.

Launched in 2024 with funding from the Mellon Foundation, the site adds material monthly.
